OUTSIDE COORDINATORS:
A slight change has been made in selecting Outside Coordinators for each walk. Each Lay Director will be able to name his/her Outside Coordinator. This is an all-important job. If you are asked, please say a resounding "yes!" and then start looking for people to help you. Find below a brief outline of what must be done by the Outside Coordinator.
Thurs. afternoon--3-7 p.m. Unload trailer. Set up food tables. Sort agape. Set up conference room. Set up team prayer chapel. Set up for Sponsor's Hour.
Thursday 7-10 p.m. Help with Sponsor's Hour. Set up conference room for Friday. Set out bedtime snack and water.
Friday 6:30 a.m. to noon Set up for communion. Arrange food agape. Begin assembling closing packets.
Friday noon to 4:00 p.m. Refresh food agape. Prepare mail bags. Agape for dinner tables.
Friday 10:00 p.m. Get conference room ready for Saturday.
Saturday 7 a.m. to ? Set up for communion.
Saturday 2:30 Refresh food agape.
Saturday 7 p.m. CANDLELIGHT SET-UP. LOTS OF HELP NEEDED! An Agape Feast is held after Candlelight and is to be kept very simple, such as ice cream, pies, cakes, etc. and a drink. Perhaps you would like to volunteer to provide for that. You would have to coordinate with the Outside Coordinator so it can be scheduled.
Saturday 10:30 p.m. Get conference room ready for Sunday.
Sunday 7 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Food agape. Finish mail bags and closing packets. Start packing.
Sunday noon to 4:00 Pack book table. Refresh food. Arrange conference room for Closing. After Closing, clear our conference room and load trailer. |

Prayer is the one thing that
unites the "Body of Christ"
in His service.
Ben and Evaline have some excerpts from the
Upper Room Site about
the Walk to Emmaus. These might help when recruiting pilgrims for
the walks. The excerpts available are:
1. What Is Emmaus
2. About the Name "Walk to Emmaus"
3. Emmaus Program Overview
4. Emmaus Structure & Organization
In addition to the excerpts mentioned above and the
Sponsorship Guidelines on the "Information Page", we have
sample forms for the "agape letters" and "agape" guidelines
from the Handbook on Emmaus. We would be happy to mail
these things to anyone who would request them.
Ben and Evaline have available, for loan, a 14 minute
video that is an introduction to The Walk To Emmaus. The
film stresses the fact that the Walk is three-day experience of
New Testament Christianity, as a lifestyle and allows the participant
to understand, more fully, the presence of Christ, in the body of believers.
The video is appropriate for use in various settings but should be shown
and discussed by a person who is active in the Walk to Emmaus.
Contact Ben and Evaline for the loan of this video. |
